COMPETITION NIGHT TENNIS
MONDAY, TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY & THURSDAY NIGHTS
QUICK REFERENCE. - (Please read all KDNTA By-laws)
COURTS: To be opened by 7.15pm. [By-Law: 10]
ALL team members are to be at the courts and ready to play by 7.30pm.
SCORECARDS & MAILFORMS: [By-Law: 8]
Use the correct scorecard,
Fill out players’ names prior to start of match,
Enter scores correctly,
Scorecard should be signed by both captains after the match.
VISITING captains are responsible for their team details on the scorecard – this
includes listing your club name and the players in the correct order.
MAILFORM must be sent by 7pm the following night. [By-Law: 8(i)]
Scorecards are to be kept until end of season in case required
WASHOUT: [By-Law:12] The HOME team sends the mailform.
FORFEIT: [By-Law: 11] The team giving a forfeit shall inform the opposing team
and the relevant Record Secretary as early as possible. The team receiving the
forfeit must send the mailform.
SUBSTITUTE Players: [By-Law: 4] (Section 1 excepted) Must not strengthen
the originally graded team and must be registered on the mailform with their details
on the night they are first used. Their details are: FULL disclosure of the last section
and Association played. If they have not played competition tennis before, they must
be rated against a current player from the same club.
LATE MAILFORM: [By-Law: 8i & j] It is strongly recommended the home team
captain sends the mailform on the night of the match. There is a $10 fine and a 2
point penalty for late mailforms and a possible forfeit if the mailform has not been
received prior to the commencement of the following round.
FINALS & Last Match: [By-Law: 6 & 8k]
A player must play AT LEAST 3 matches to play in Finals.
LAST ROUND the HOME team must mailform the results to Record Secretary
before 7pm the following day.
ALL FINALS the WINNING team must mailform the results to Record
Secretary before 7pm the following day.
Team Captains: PLEASE KEEP RECORDS OF MATCH RESULTS.
Mailforms from all matches, whether played or not, must be received by the relevant
Record Secretary as per the following table:
